Successful person one: "Why do you think you can succeed so well? If I spend my life trying to make money, the more I succeed in making money, the more I am a failure in the rest of my life. And you don't succeed in doing one thing without having to fail in some other way." In the long run, all of us fail more than we succeed. Everything has a cost. What you are feeling right now in that room right now, this is the feeling that is necessary to create. The world you will create has a lot of horror and terror and horror for those that aren't succeeding. In the world that is successful, a lot of this horror and terror and horror is eliminated, and you are able to do more. So you have a choice. You can decide to invest the vast majority of your life in serving the vast majority of the human race, and it is a very important part of the human race, and in return, you will be successful. Or you can invest the vast majority of your life serving the vast majority of the human race in another place that does not have the benefit of having a large machine for making products like you do, and in return you will be unsuccessful in your life. It's a lot of choices that you have to make. It's not a linear one - way street. In order for you to have a good life, a meaningful life, fulfilling life, you will have to do a lot of things you don't like to do. You will have to make the most important decisions and live with the consequences of those decisions, even though most of them will not be pleasant. You will have to die. You will have to suffer. And yet, this is the price of having a real life. This is the price of being a human being. And one of the most powerful things in the world is the fear of that suffering. If you were successful, you would die. And this is true for every human being. Most people want to avoid the suffering part of living because they don't want to be part of that. And they go around their whole lives avoiding that suffering. Now, if you're smart, if you're a person of character, if you're a person who has a sense of what the hell you are doing here, what you are really going to find, is that you will have to go through a tremendous amount of suffering, a tremendous amount of death in order to have a meaningful life. You will have to give yourself up to certain horrible things to be able to help the world. But the rewards are going to be a tremendous value. And in your years of service, your life can be used by the world to help many, many people, maybe even yourself. That is what you're here for, isn't it? To help yourself and to serve the world. You have to do something you don't like to do in order to have a life that is fulfilling. That is what I've learned, that is what I've lived. If you understand that this is true, you will change the way you spend your life, and the way you spend your life will make a very large difference in the lives of many, many people.
